ABOUT KIRU

Diamond Booker, also known as 'Kiru', has always had a deep passion for storytelling since her early adolescent years. When she entered secondary school, Kiru chose to reconnect with her artistic side, committing herself to her love for art while studying at Schuler Fine Art School and the Academy of Art University.
As a conceptual and abstract artist, she explores the interplay between silence and disruption, inspired by her appreciation for Japanese minimalism. Kiru's work embodies the philosophies of 'ma' (the space between) and wabi-sabi, presenting a visceral language of texture, motion, and form.
Through her abstract visual language and mixed media techniques, she coined the term 'Kiru Ondo' to express the varying levels of temperature one can sense within her pieces. With a quiet boldness, Kiru breaks conventions, encouraging viewers to reflect, interpret, and connect emotionally. Each artwork serves as an invitation to pause, find stillness, and awaken the unseen.
